Do You Think Dylan Will Die on His Mission?

There’s an undercover police assignment with Dylan’s name on it and it’s being billed as extremely dangerous on The Young and the Restless.

Anxious to get away from home and the pain of losing Christian to Nick, Dylan has volunteered for the job, much to the chagrin of his wife, Sharon (Sharon Case), who fears for her husband’s safety. Fans know actor Steve Burton is exiting the soap. In fact, he already taped his last day. Soap Hub polled fans about whether or not you think Dylan will die on his mission, and over 8,500 people responded.

He’s A Goner
The writing is on the wall, according to 77% of you, who are convinced Dylan will die in the line of duty. It’s the perfect way to script Steve Burton off the soap. Plus, it will lead to plenty of drama for Sharon and Dylan’s mother, Nikki, after the fact.

It’s a pretty safe bet that Nikki will blame Sharon for taking the assignment that led to her son’s demise. After all, doesn’t she blame Sharon for everything?

He’ll Be Back
No way the soap kills off Dylan, say 23% of fans. He’s Nikki’s son and has become too big a part of Genoa City. Instead, you predict the character will go MIA during this secret mission.

That way, Dylan can someday return to the canvas, if Burton decides to return to the soap or Y&R opts to recast the role.
