After Chloe drugged Adam, the safe house where he was hiding exploded and he was declared dead on The Young and the Restless.

Unable to forgive Adam  (Justin Hartley) for accidentally running down and killing her daughter Delia, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was hell-bent on revenge. She carefully plotted it out, surprising Adam at his hideaway, drugging him unconscious, and seemingly leaving him to die after rigging the place to explode. But what if she got cold feet and had Adam removed from the premises before the big bang? Could Chloe actually be holding Adam hostage away from Chelsea, Connor, and all his loved ones? Soap Hub posed the possibility to fans and here’s what you had to say.

Chloe’s Captive
Some 54% of you believe that Chloe has indeed squired Adam off somewhere and plans to keep him her prisoner for the rest of his miserable life. While you concede that Chloe is crazy, you don’t think she’s capable of cold-blooded murder. That’s why she changed the direction of her plan at the last minute. Keeping Adam away from his loved ones forever is good enough payback in Chloe’s book. As for the DNA evidence that confirmed Adam’s death, you’ve been watching daytime long enough to know that could have been fabricated

Dead End
On the other hand, 37% of you believe the DNA evidence that confirmed Adam was the body recovered from the fire. It breaks your heart to know you’ll never see the character again and that Chelsea and Connor will have to live their lives without Adam, but you’ve accepted that that’s the cold hard truth. Adam is really, truly dead.

Maybe Yes, Maybe No
It’s a soap opera, so 9% of fans know that characters can return from the grave at any time. Adam, for one, actually did once before. Although it doesn’t look likely that he’ll resurface as Chloe’s captive, you’re holding out hope that it might actually turn out to be the case one day down the line.
