The Genoa City Police Department finally figured out what The Young and the Restless fans had weeks ago.
It was Alyssa (Maria DiDomenico) who tried to shoot Adam (Mark Grossman) but hit Chance (Donny Boaz), instead. The only question is: Did she act alone? What almost 5,000 ace detectives had to tell us about that:
Why not, 45% shrug. She wanted revenge on Adam for killing her dad – when he was all of 11 years old and said dad was threatening his mom – and for using her to dig up dirt on Victor (Eric Braeden), then burying the story. Sure, those are both shooting offenses, and so she acted alone. She is a great marksman, you know!
Alyssa may have been a skilled shooter, but Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was the one who had the easiest access to Billy’s (Jason Thompson) gun. A conspiracy-minded 30% of the audience figure she had to be in on it, too. She wanted Adam out of the way, and she knew Alyssa felt the same.
Alyssa has shown herself to be pretty easy to manipulate. Adam did it. Billy did it. Why not Victoria? She’s the brains behind the whole thing, which is why she was so upset when it looked like Billy might go down for a crime she knew he didn’t commit.
Nothing happens in Genoa City without Victor being in on it, 25% of you remind, which means he had to have been in on Alyssa’s plot. As far as we know, Victor doesn’t want his son dead. But he does want him to remember that Victor is the most important person in his life and Adam should listen to his advice.
Shooting – and missing – a guy can really mess with his head. And send him running cowering to Daddy. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
