Lily broke the news about Holden being her brother to Devon and Nate on The Young and the Restless. She felt it was important for them to know that Holden was family. In their conversation, Devon compared Holden to Tucker. Did he make a fair point about the two men?

Key Takeaways

  • Lily wanted Devon and Nate to know that Holden was family.
  • While they’re not blood-related, she wanted them to see Holden as family.
  • Devon compared Holden’s situation to Tucker’s.

Lily Re-Introduces Holden to the Family

Nate (Sean Dominic) and Devon (Bryton James, who shared fond memories of the late Kristoff St. John) agreed to meet with Lily (Christel Khalil) and Holden (Nathan Owens) at Society. They noted that they were informed this was a family matter. Lily said she would explain and asked them to join them for this important conversation.

She mentioned that Malcolm (Shemar Moore) was Holden’s father. Devon and Nate wanted to know who provided this information. Holden shared that it was from his mother. Lily said Holden is family to her, so he’s family to all of them.

This conversation didn’t go as well as she anticipated. Nate and Devon exchanged a look. Lily understood they might have questions, but they knew everything that she knew up to this point. But Nate and Devon weren’t convinced.

Is Holden Like Tucker?

After Holden got up to leave, Devon wanted to know Lily’s true feelings on this matter. Lily admitted that she’s considering Holden a family member. But Devon mentioned that Tucker (Trevor St. John) was technically family as well, and look what happened there.

As Y&R fans recall, Tucker is Devon’s biological father. While Tucker shared a link to the Winters family, he was often at odds with them. They could never trust him because of his shady business dealings and attempts to woo Devon’s adopted family members.

Is it safe to say that Holden is like Tucker? He didn’t have a clean reputation when he first showed up in Genoa City. Holden pretended to be Damian Kane as he tried to get info out of Nate. Then, the real Damian (Jermaine Rivers) revealed himself, and Holden was used as his “decoy.”

Holden has plenty of secrets. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that he can’t be trustworthy. Even his portrayer, Owens, maintained Holden’s good guy status. “At Holden’s core, I think he’s a good-natured person,” Owens previously told Soaps.com.

Do you think Devon made a fair comparison? Do you see similarities between Holden and Tucker?
