Now that his affair with Abby has come to light and Sharon gave him the oatmeal hair treatment, two-timing Scott hasn’t been seen much in Genoa City. The Young and the Restless hunk recently shared on social media his current status with the show.
“It’s going to be a while [I] believe,” Hall tweeted back to a fan who asked when she’d be seeing him again on the top-rated soap.
Perhaps one reason Scott will be absent for a while is that love interest Abby is currently not in Genoa City while her portrayer Melissa Ordway is on a real-life maternity leave.
Hall joined the show a year ago when Scott was re-introduced to the canvas in a dramatic way. He’d been kidnapped while on assignment in a foreign country.
Victor Newman stepped in and used his resources to rescue Lauren’s son and then he gave him a job, operating a news website named Hashtag Digital News Company, a division of Newman Enterprises.
Scott earned the wary eye of Nick Newman because his ex-wife Sharon was dating him and also because of the attention Nick’s dad was giving Scott at a time when Victor and Nick were on the outs.
Even though he was dating Sharon, Scott and Abby shared a fun banter that was a hit with viewers. Perhaps the show will revisit this relationship later in the year.
A character who’s a journalist like Scott is always a valuable character to have on the canvas to help move stories along, ask questions of authorities, and solve crimes that the police don’t!
