Courtney Hope Has A VERY Personal Message On Breast Cancer Awareness

Courtney Hope will soon be transferring her popular The Bold and the Beautiful character, fashion designer Sally Spectra, to Genoa City, as the actress will become part of The Young and the Restless canvas going forward.

Hope is using her popularity to send an important message, posting a photo of herself on Instagram in nothing but a pink thong, holding a printout of pink breasts to her chest, as part of a campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer.

“Okay ladies and gentlemen, let’s talk breasts,” she posted alongside the photos. “My uncle passed away from breast cancer several years back, my aunt is thankfully now in remission from breast cancer, I have had over 30 cysts in my breasts since I was 17, I started getting ultrasounds at 20 and eliminating cyst-inducing food and meds (BCPs), and I just had my first mammogram last month (all clear now of every cyst!).”

That’s why Hope wanted to be part of the Lounge Underwear special campaign, urging people to #feelyourbreast, checking for irregularities, lumps, or anything that feels off. And she urges everyone to do this—not just women.

“Men, if anything is strange as well – please check it out, don’t wait! It’s important to check regularly and encourage and educate others to do the same!” Hope says. “Even if you’re unsure, it’s better to be safe.”

The campaign revolves around Lounge Underwear’s Hot Pink Thong, which it notes on its website is a great reminder inside one’s underwear drawer. “Every time you put on this super comfy Hot Pink Thong, we want you to feel comfortable and confident in checking your boobs whilst looking and feeling beautiful,” it reads.

Throughout the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lounge Underwear will be advocating for breast screenings and donating to breast cancer awareness.
