On The Young and the Restless, breakups are often done face to face. (Though Christine did get dumped by Danny once via overnight letter — ouch!) Max Ehrich, who played Fenmore Baldwin on the CBS soap, shared that he learned his recent engagement ended via a third party.
Demi Lovato And Max Ehrich: Messy Breakup
TMZ reported that Ehrich posted on his Instagram stories that he learned through a third party that his relationship with Demi Lovato was kaput.
“[I]magine finding out the status of your relationship through a tabloid … while your in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people,” Max Ehrich posted on social media.
News first leaked out that there was trouble in paradise after Lovato posted a photo of herself on social — minus her engagement ring with the words “Dogs over people.” That post appears to have since been deleted.
In another Instagram post, in which Lovato appears to be wearing a different ring (!), she was asked by a poster if she could confirm that she is single. That prompted another poster to say that the singer didn’t have to confirm anything she didn’t want to confirm.
Meanwhile, PEOPLE magazine is reporting that Max Ehrich definitely knew about the breakup before he read it anywhere, with a source telling the publication: “Demi made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press.”
Demi Lovato and Ehrich were engaged over the summer on the beach in Malibu. They had begun dating in March of this year. They reportedly split after reports surfaced that Ehrich was raving about other singers on his social platforms. Ehrich’s Twitter account was recently suspended. Initially, Lovato said the reports of Ehrich singing the praises of other singers were fake.
What’s next for Lovato? She’s partnering with Talk Space, which helps people find therapy. “So so so excited for you to see what I’m working on with @talkspace 👀💗😝 it’s something that’s extremely close to my heart…” Lovato posted.
“I encourage all of you to take care of your mental health as it’s so important to be in tune and check in on yourself! Talkspace makes it super easy to connect with a licensed therapist right from your phone 💗 I’m so proud to announce that they are offering $120 off your first month of online therapy when you use code DEMI120 and visit talkspace.com/demi
Last season, Lovato played a recurring role on Will & Grace as Jenny, the surrogate who was carrying Will’s (Eric McCormack) baby. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
