The tragic death of Sage Newman on “The Young and the Restless” could be a huge blessing for Sharon.
Just moments after watching Sage (Kelly Sullivan) take her last breath with Christian in her arms–and promising Sage that she’ll tell the truth about his parentage–Sharon (Sharon Case) starts with all her lies. When help arrives, Sharon begins her plan to keep that little boy with her forever!
First, she tells Paul (Doug Davidson) that she had no idea what happened or why Sage’s car ran off the road. The truth is, she saw the whole thing and knows full well that Sage wasn’t driving in her right state of mind. While she has no idea that Sage was searching for her phone, she does know the car was swerving and something bad was about to happen.
While holding the child who may forever be known as Sully in her armsDylan (Steve Burton) takes her home, claiming his wife is in shock. She just watched her best friend die and he can’t imagine how horrifying that was for her.
Later, at home alone with Dylan it looks like she may actually spill the awful truth to her husband, but stops when he goes on and on about how he would die without her and their son. She just can’t bring herself to break his heart.
Is this the start to the biggest coverup in Y&R history? As long as Naughty Nurse Stephens (Jill Lover) stays quiet, Sharon will never have to say anything to anyone. That is, as long as Sully never gets sick and no one finds those pesky paternity test results Sharon had done.
