News that General Hospital’s Kelsey Wang is joining the cast of The Young and the Restless as Allie, a potential love interest for an eligible bachelor already on the canvas, has fans buzzing that she will be Jack Abbott’s granddaughter, the daughter of his never mentioned for decades then suddenly all anyone is talking about son, Keemo Volien Abbott — and that she’s being set up as a way to get Noah Newman to stop obsessing over Tessa Porter.

The Young and the Restless: The More, The Merrier

If that’s even partially true, we welcome the development. But we’re selfish. We want even more. We want to meet the entire Volien-Abbott family!

The Prodigal Son Returns

First of all, Keemo himself should be in his 50s about now. Wouldn’t he make a fun love interest for oh, say, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)? Or Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case)? Or Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan)? Or Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan)? Heck, even for Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle)…once the truth about her current husband comes out. Just think of the possibilities!

The Young and the Restless: Grand Plans

Let’s say that Allie is for Noah (Rory Gibson). Why should she limit herself? There’s also a ‘he could come back at any moment’ Fenmore Baldwin. But let’s say that Allie’s fate has already been decided. There’s no reason why she has to be an only child.

Could Allie have a younger brother or a younger sister? Someone the perfect age to insert into the snoozefest known as Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). Allie’s younger brother could be a fun wild child who shows Faith what it’s like to be a risk-taking teenager. Or her younger sister could offer Moses attractions Faith seems unaware are even a possibility. Plus, Genoa City could have the first major, front-burner Asian family on daytime. It’s all a win-win here!
