Daniel Romalotti is back on The Young and the Restless. His love, Heather Williams, and daughter, Lucy Romalotti, however, are in Portugal. And seemingly intend to stay there through the holidays. Daniel doesn’t seem too broken up about it. But we think both should hightail it to Genoa City as soon as possible.
Young and the Restless: Another Link in the Chain
Daniel’s lady, Heather (last played by Jennifer Landon), is the daughter of Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and the granddaughter of Carl and Mary Williams, a family that has lived in town since the last 1970s.
Well, technically, they’d lived there longer, but we only met them in the late 1970s, when creator William Bell decided we’d spent enough time looking at the Brookses and the Fosters, and that we should look at the Newmans, Abbotts, and Williams clans, instead. That means that Heather is a legacy character.
But it’s more than that. Daniel is obviously making eyes at his former wife, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), again. And sparring with her current love, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Sure, that could make a triangle. But wouldn’t it be more fun to make it a quad with Heather in the mix?

Daniel Romalotti: Missing Young
Are there any young people on The Young and the Restless? The youngest we can see are corporate husband and wife, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier)…and their preschooler, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). And no one in between. (OK, there’s pre-teens Connor Newman and Johnny Abbott, and baby Dominic, but phrasing it the other way is pithier.)
The point is, with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Moses Winters, not to mention Lily’s twins and Reed Hellstrom gone, there are no teens in Genoa City. Lucy would fit that bill. And maybe inspire bringing some more of her contemporaries onto the canvas.
