Victor keeps pretending that he cares about Kyle hurting Claire, but the March 18 episode of The Young and the Restless made it clear what he really wants to do is stick it to Jack. By any means necessary. Victor has played lots of dirty tricks on Jack in the past. But there was one so awful, that we still can’t believe he got away with it. And, under the circumstances, that he won’t try it again.

The worst thing Victor (Eric Braeden) ever did was have Jack (Peter Bergman) kidnapped and replaced by a dude named Marco. Who happened to look exactly like Jack. Which was why Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) kept sleeping with him. And why he was able to practically hand over most of Jabot to his arch-enemy, while convincing his board and family that it was for the best.
Phyllis was so traumatized after the truth came out that she ended up cheating on Jack with Billy (Jason Thompson). This ultimately broke up their marriage. Which was an added bonus Victor hadn’t planned for, but was delighted to observe.

Let’s Do It Again
So why not play the greatest hits a second time? After all, Jack committed the most horrible sin of all: He was there for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) when Victor was clueless. Such a good deed must never go unpunished. Is it time for another switcharoo? Phyllis and Sharon (Sharon Case) just got free, so there is room in the hostage room set.
Victor can stash Jack there. And he can sic the imposter on Diane (Susan Walters). And on Kyle (Michael Mealor). Faux Jack can convince Kyle to break up with Claire (Hayley Erin), and hand the company over to Victor. Meanwhile, he’ll have him abuse Diane so much that she leaves. Then he’ll bring the real Jack back. What do you mean that sounds like a crime? Sure… when other people do it… But it’s Victor. He has a pre-emptive pardon. For everything.
