In order to win and prove that he is the smartest person in the room, Victor has now kidnapped Jack and is using him to blackmail Billy. Which is completely and utterly ridiculous. So it’s obvious that Victor won’t respond to threats, or logic, or even losing the devotion of those he claims to love. So what’s left?

Laughter. The one thing Victor hates more than anything in the world is not to be taken seriously. To be made to feel like he isn’t the biggest, baddest bad who ever badded.
So instead of appealing to his logic or his decency, Victor’s intervention should involve laughter. Every time Victor barks one of his orders, his family should laugh at him. They should giggle, they should guffaw, and they should chortle. Victor won’t be able to stand that. And he might finally stop with his ridiculous schemes.
