The Young and the Restless knows how to bring the drama, and January 27 – 31 was no exception. A shootout at the ranch, a moment of harsh truth, and a final farewell kept us on our toes and our jaws on the floor!
Shots Rang Out
We have to hand it to Ian Ward (Ray Wise) for bringing the drama. He found himself backed into a corner and was good and ready to shoot his way out. And, he even got in a good shot when he pulled the trigger! But, as good as Ian is at being bad, Victor (Eric Braeden) proved he was the King by fighting back and making sure Ian ended up paying the price! We also have to give a special shout-out to the ambulance scene when Ian opened his eyes. Could there be more drama to come? We hope so!

Saying Goodbye
Sharon (Sharon Case) had several big moments in the past few weeks and saying goodbye to Cameron’s (Linden Ashby) ghost was one that kept us glued to our screens. We were not expecting Sharon to seem upset about not seeing her tormentor again. And, we have to wonder if we’ve truly seen the end of Sharon’s mind games. He may be nothing more than a drug-fuelled hallucination but he’s been by Sharon’s side during the worst times in the last year.
The Injustice of it All
Speaking of Sharon, we also have to talk about the scenes between her and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) when he learned she was off the hook. While Daniel knows Sharon didn’t kill his wife, she’s getting off Scot-free for wrapping her up and throwing her into the river. Sure, Sharon was drugged out of her mind, but we understand where Daniel is coming from. It must be maddening to love the love of your life and not get the justice you deserve.
