The Young and the Restless knows how to bring the drama and January 20-24 was no exception. A great escape, a shocking murder plot, and some some unexpected personal growth from one of the Abbott brothers.
Sharon Brought Her A-Game!
We have to give it to Thursday’s episode because it gave us two of the greatest moments of the week, starting with Sharon (Sharon Case) rescuing herself. She beat the odds, and despite being drugged, weakened, and terrified, she got herself out of those chains and out of the sewer. It was the moment of woman power we all needed to see. Thankfully, Sharon is safe at home. But, we have to wonder if this safety will last…and if she’ll suffer the effects of those drugs Ian (Ray Wise) and Jordan were feeding her.

Ding Dong, The Witch Is Gone!
Opposite this, we saw the downfall of Jordan (Colleen Zenk). Claire turned those tables and showed Jordan she’s not the boss anymore. Then, with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Victor (Eric Braeden) by her side, she got Jordan to admit to her crimes and made her truly scared for her life. By Friday, the Newmans defeated the villain and got rid of her…permanently.
Billy’s Reality Check
The Newmans weren’t the only ones taking center stage. The Abbotts had their fair share of screen time too…thanks to Billy (Jason Thompson). However, this was more of a calm after the storm than hot drama. On Wednesday, Billy showed some serious growth during his chat with Jack (Jason Thompson). He realized his schemes keep going too far, his anger isn’t serving him anymore, and he needs to get himself on the right track. And, Jack agrees. The big brother even offered to back Billy’s next venture when he’s ready to start fresh.
