Only a few months ago, The Young and the Restless were all about Baby Dominic, his many names, and his many parents. First, it was his complicated birth, then it was the presumed death of his legal father, Chance Chancellor.

Then it was Chance’s return from the dead, his difficult bonding with the baby, Devon Hamilton asking for custody of his biological child, Abby Newman Chancellor giving in, and the health crises that suggested Devon might not be the daddy, after all. And then… nothing.

At the same time, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) was having a tentative flirtation with Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines). They exchanged gifts on Valentine’s Day. They went together to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) wedding. And then… nothing.

Where are Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance (Conner Floyd), and Faith and Moses? We have literally not seen or heard of them in weeks. Devon – who Abby shares custody of Dominic with and who Moses lives with – has been talking business with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and sparring about business with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), with seemingly no time for either of the previous storylines.

Summertime
Isn’t summer a peak time for young love tales? Are Faith and Moses hanging out by the pool? Working? Filling out college applications? Have they broken up? Were they ever together?
As for Chance and Abby, wasn’t he investigating Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) old cases? Does Abby have no opinion about the hot potato who is the CEO this week game going on at her family’s company? How is Chance’s therapy going? How is his marriage going? How is the shared custody arrangement going? Has Dominic been SORASed? Is he a teen now? Is he dating Faith? Or Moses? A little hint would be nice…we’re about to send out search parties!
