Phyllis has always had an unhealthy fixation on Danny Romalotti on The Young and the Restless. She first came to town claiming he was the father of her son, Daniel. She was willing to kill to keep that lie from coming out. Just like she was willing to kill to get revenge on Christine. Even as she kept failing.
Danny Romalotti: Is He Clueless?
Sure, Christine (Lauralee Bell) and Danny (Michael Damian) eventually broke up. But, it’s not like Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) got to hold onto him. Danny left town — with Daniel. He was gone for decades. But now Danny is back. And Phyllis has decided she wants him. Again. Has she finally worn Danny down enough to the point where he might be willing to love her back?
One in a Million
Danny has never met another woman like Phyllis. Most people would consider that to be a good thing. But, Danny can’t help being intrigued. There’s something vaguely romantic about a woman who is literally crazy with love for you. No one else has ever loved Danny so much that they’d be willing to commit crime after crime. Danny can’t ignore that, or avoid feeling flattered.
The One That Got Away
On the other hand, when life with Danny got too complicated, Christine called it quits. She didn’t want to be in a toxic relationship. She actually chose her sanity over Phyllis’s crazy. She went and married a man who also had a psycho stalker eventually — but, he didn’t seem to be nearly as intrigued by her. Of course, that only made Danny want Christine more.

Split Decision
Danny ended up spending Christmas with both of his exes. Phyllis kept making crazy eyes. Christine kept rolling her eyes. It was pretty entertaining. For us. Not so much for Phyllis and Christine. However, Danny had a front-row seat for the differences between the two women. And, if he doesn’t choose Christine, then, well, then he deserves whatever he gets.
