The Young and the Restless viewers cheered when As the World Turns veteran and Daytime Emmy-nominee Colleen Zenk popped up in Genoa City as Claire’s deranged Aunt Jordan. We were dying to find out what her plan was, why she hated the Newmans, and what form her ultimate revenge would take. The subsequent scenes didn’t disappoint. But, we’re hungry for more.

The Young and the Restless: Which Way Did She Go?

After Nick (Joshua Morrow) failed to stop a deranged Jordan, Victor (Eric Braeden) was able to subdue her. He left her unconscious upstairs while he stumbled down to continue playing hero for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Cole (J. Eddie Peck), and his children. When the police finally arrived, they searched the house and reported to Victor that Jordan was nowhere to be found. After the Newmans left, Jordan was revealed to be hiding in the heating unit. Awesome! Classic soap! (Missed this part? Take a look back here.)

Past Life

You know what else was classic soap? When ATWT evil villain James Stenbeck (Anthony Herrera) returned from the dead (the first time, when it was actually a shock instead of expected). His ex-wife, Barbara, played by Zenk, encountered a mysterious figure wearing a monk’s robe. He turned around slowly. He removed his hood, Obi-Wan Kenobi style. “Hello, Barbara….” He intoned, while we all shrieked, cheered, and screamed. (See it again, or for the first time, below.)

Putting It Together

CBS canceled As the World Turns years back. But, they can prove to fans that they still care about them and their memory by staging Victor and Jordan’s inevitable reunion thusly: Victor encounters a mysterious figure wearing a monk’s robe. The figure turns around slowly. They remove the hood, Obi-Wan Kenobi style. “Hello, Victor,” she intones!

While those who never watched ATWT think it’s an amazing reveal, those in the know will see it as a special throwback scene. Long-time Zenk fans will enjoy it on a whole other level. Hello, higher ratings!
