The Young and the Restless pulled out many surprises this week. From a character long overdue return to a confrontation, there was plenty to talk about. Here’s a look at a few of the best moments from September 29-October 3.
Harrison’s Family Time
After spending time with Summer (Allison Lanier) in Milan, Harrison (Redding Munsell) returned to Genoa City. The young boy was happy to be reunited with Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin). Harrison excitedly regaled them with stories about his adventures in Italy. Then his excitement turned to nerves as he prepped for his first day of school. To calm his nerves, Claire agreed to join Kyle when he dropped Harrison off at school. The cute family moment softened the blow of Claire and Kyle’s breakup, which took place later in the episode.
Protective Mom
Speaking of Kyle and Claire, Diane (Susan Walters) learned about the couple’s breakup during her stop at Society. After overhearing Claire talking to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Diane confronted her son’s ex. As Diane blasted Claire for hurting her son, Nikki mentioned Kyle and Audra’s (Zuleyka Silver) kiss. However, Diane reminded Nikki that none of this would’ve happened if it weren’t for Victor (Eric Braeden).
Diane’s been good for far too long, and it’s time she returns to her bad side. Between her confrontation with Claire this week and her argument with Audra last week, the vixenish Diane could be reemerging.
The Good In Audra
Audra has become the town pariah since her scheme with Victor was exposed. Everyone can’t resist chastising Audra for the pain she caused Nate (Sean Dominic), Kyle, and Claire. This week, when Audra bumped into Amy (Valarie Pettiford), she expected another tongue-lashing. But in a surprising move, Amy said she missed Audra and wished she’d still come around.
Audra was a good friend and a big support to Amy throughout her cancer battle. Although they don’t see each other as much, Amy has nothing but kindness towards the young woman. While all of Genoa City sees the bad in her, Amy knows there’s some good in Audra.
Jill Comes Home
These days, fans are accustomed to seeing Jill (Jess Walton) via video chats. But this week, Jill made her return home to deal with Billy (Jason Thompson) and Cane (Billy Flynn). Jill tried to repair her strained relationship with Billy, but he’s not yet ready to make peace with his mom.
While things are still tense between her and Billy, Jill and Cane are closer than ever. The two shared a heartfelt conversation, where Cane admitted his mistakes and expressed his uncertainty about who he is. Jill reminded him that he was a good man and that he still had her. With the business drama heating up with Cane, Billy, and Victor, here’s hoping Jill will stick around.
