Rumors that Theo and Lola would be leaving Genoa City and The Young and the Restless were running rampant across social media, mostly because followers noticed that actress Sasha Calle, who plays Lola, no longer had her YR experience on her online profile. So when the opportunity came to ask their co-stars, fans jumped at it.
That chance came when Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) and onscreen/off-screen good friend Christian J. Le Blanc (Michael) were having a ball, answering fans questions. Stafford was a little surprised when she saw one of the questions appear before her.
“Tyler and Lola aren’t leaving Y&R,” she said, shaking her head for emphasis. This was after the surprise was obvious on her face as she read the initial question. “Tyler and Sasha,” she said both actors’ first names again to clarify after first saying Calle’s character’s name.
Le Blanc chimed in playfully saying, “No. Where would they go?” as Stafford talked at the same time adding, “They’re not going anywhere.” Le Blanc jumped back over and said, “No, they love us.”
A fan, Steph, who witnessed the live event wanted to thank the two actors for finally providing answers to the question that had been on the minds of so many of the show’s viewers. She recorded it and tweeted the exchange (which you can see below), adding, “Thank you Michelle and Christian for refuting the unfounded rumors about Sasha and Tyler. #YR”
So it looks like fans of Theo and Lola can rest easy that these two are not leaving Genoa City anytime soon. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
