Claws Out! Do You Miss Jill and Nikki’s Rivalry on The Young and the Restless?

Catfights have been a staple of soaps since the beginning, and The Young and the Restless isn’t above indulging once in a while.

Take Jill (Jess Walton) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). They’ve been at each other’s throats for decades.

They’ve fought over Victor (Eric Braeden) – he was a candidate for being Billy’s (Jason Thompson) dad!

And then there was Kay (Jeanne Cooper). Nikki and Kay were friends (Kay knew that Victor was Victoria’s father before Nikki did). Jill and Kay were enemies. And they were frenemies. And they were mistakenly believed to be mother and daughter for a while there. Thank God that era ended.

Jill and Kay fought over multiple Phillips. The father, the son, and the holy grandson. Nikki backed up Kay every step of the way.

The latest bone of contention between Jill and Nikki was Chancellor Park. Jill wanted her statue dedicated to Kay’s memory to remain in one piece. Nikki wanted it gone. So she could dig up the body buried underneath it.

The two women exchanged barbs. And 51% of you just weren’t feeling it. Grandmas acting like toddlers isn’t entertaining.

And it’s demeaning — both to the characters and the actresses. Nikki and Jill have plenty going on in their own lives. They don’t need to sink to this petty level.

Bring It On!
It was a nail-biter, as only a slightly smaller 49% said you want to see more claws bared! Just because Nikki and Jill are women of a certain age doesn’t mean they’ve lost their spirit… or their left hooks.

Instead of sticking their noses into their children’s lives, Nikki and Jill need to take care of their own business!
