What’s Up With Christian LeBlanc’s Voice on The Young and the Restless?

Michael was pretty broken up that Kevin was leaving town on The Young and the Restless but that’s not what had Michael’s portrayer, Christian LeBlanc, sounding all broken up!

The three-time Emmy-winner was sounding a bit funny in one of last week’s episodes, and in Friday’s show, it sounded as if LeBlanc was dubbing in his own voice, leading some to think that his condition hadn’t cleared up after just a day or two.

“Are they dubbing your voice?” OHTreehugger asked LeBlanc via Twitter. “Why does your voice sound so different??”

Christian LeBlanc responded to OHtreehugger simply by revealing that he had “EXTREMELY bad laryngitis!”

Fortunately, LeBlanc’s case of a sore throat wasn’t so bad that he missed any taping time.

Fans certainly would not have wanted to see another actor in his place playing some of Michael’s farewell scenes with his brother Kevin (Greg Rikaart)!

“Obsessed” Concern
Members of the Facebook Page The Young and the Restless Fans Obsessed posted responses to an image of LeBlanc’s tweet explaining his condition.

One wrote: “I also noticed your voice sounded different lately. Get plenty of rest & feel better soon. Love your work on Y&R & much love to you too! ❤️❤️❤️❤️” 

Another shared: “Thats okay you can just stand there look sexy. love you man Get better soon Christian, thought it was something like that.”

Still another fan posted that she hadn’t even noticed and wrote: “You know I was so absorbed in the story I never noticed. Sorry! Hope you’re better now.”

Soap Hub joins LeBlanc’s fans in wished the fan favorite a continued recovery, and while we love seeing Michael do battle in court, maybe Y&R could wait just a little bit before coming with the legal eagle’s next big case.
