A New Year is almost upon us. So, Courtney Hope, who played Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful and now plays her on The Young and the Restless, has shared some thoughts on resolutions and new beginnings as 2021 is just around the corner!

Courtney Hope Is Ready For That Long-Awaited New Year

“Stepping through the door to a new year,” Hope began her post. “What do you choose to take with you and what will you leave behind. What holds you to your past and what can you let go of to ignite your future and all its potential?? #SetIntentions #2021goals.”

This is advice that Hope is posing to her followers, but it just as easily could be given to her character Sally. After making a mess of her life in Los Angeles (on BB), Sally packed up and moved to the Midwest, Genoa City, Wisconsin, to be exact, the locale of The Young and the Restless.

There, Sally checked in with her aunt Sally’s (the late Darlene Conley) old friend Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman), owner of Fenmore’s Department Store, and secured a position. She is on her way to having a new rivalry with Summer (Hunter King) and perhaps a love interest — but with whom?

It’ll be interesting to see if Sally can put her past behind her especially if (when?) people from her past in Los Angeles make their way to Genoa City. Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) could find himself traveling on business for Spencer Publications and come across Sally. Then, we might see if Sally has indeed left him behind or if there are still lingering feelings.

“I will leave everything behind,” responded @kalma66 to Hope’s words. “I hope I can let go of some things like what I’ve done in the past… That’s something I need to work on.”

“Happy new Courtney love you and I do believe 2021 is gonna be a better year for all of us honestly I wish to leave behind everything behind in 2020…. 2021 is gonna be a new beginning…,” enthused @yorkelsie1993.

“Happy new year Courtney. Love your contagious positive attitude and trying to make this world a better place one smile at a time, that’s actually inspired me to do the same,” replied @jessefaden91, whose handle is a nod to a video game character Hope plays in the game Control.
