The Bold and the Beautiful star Darin Brooks was one daytime hunk who was sporting facial hair prior to the industry-wide production shutdown that took place earlier this year. During the hiatus, a few actors grew beards and/or their hair out and kept these new looks when they started taping again.
A Clean-Shaven Darin Brooks
Now, it’s Brooks who has a new look. The actor recently shaved off his facial hair and showed his new puss on Instagram. Feedback has been positive with wife Kelly Kruger (Eva; ex-Mac, The Young and the Restless) telling her mate that he now looks 12 years old!
Brooks began his soap opera career on Days of Our Lives as Max Brady, the adopted son of Caroline (Peggy McCay) and Shawn (Frank Parker). The character debuted in 1986 but went off-screen for a while starting in the early 1990s. Brooks assumed the part in 2005 and remained on the show as a regular until 2009. He popped up again on the NBC daytime serial for a few episodes the following year. In 2009, he won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.
Post-Salem, Brooks worked on a variety of nighttime projects. He landed a lead role in the TK series Blue Mountain State, about a college football team. It was there that Brooks met Kruger, who had appeared on the show in a guest-starring role. His other credits include Two Broke Girls, Jeopardy!, and Super Fun Night. In 2013, Brooks joined the cast of BB as Wyatt Fuller, son of jewelry designer Quinn (Rena Sofer).
Soon, the show grounded Wyatt to one of the show’s original families — the Spencers — when it was revealed that Wyatt’s dad was “Dollar” Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).
While Brooks’ beard is gone, one question remains — will viewers see a clean-shaven Wyatt on-screen? The show’s currently on a holiday hiatus. So, it’s possible if Brooks doesn’t shave between now and when the soap returns to production in the New Year, he may look like his old self.
