In a clash of the Titans of big business, it was CBS viewers who were the losers but now, thanks to a new deal, it looks like viewers of the CBS soaps will finally be able to watch The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful once again — which should be great news for the actors as well.
Variety reported the great news saying, “CBS and AT&T came to new terms on the carriage of CBS stations on the telecommunications giant’s DirecTV satellite service, ending a prolonged blackout of CBS programming.”
At least one actor wrote a scathing tweet directly to DirecTV, disappointed that she couldn’t watch her own show, The Young and the Restless star Camryn Grimes, who plays Mariah, made sure to let the corporation know exactly how she feels.
“Hey @DIRECTV I’d really love to be able to watch… THE CHANNEL I FREAKING WORK FOR. Think we can amend this please??#cbs #directv”
No word about the outstanding issues with NBC, so it looks like Days of Our Lives fans may have to wait a bit longer to get their favorite soap back. Soap Hub will continue to monitor the situation and inform when anything changes.
