Daniel Goddard The Young and the Restless
While in the middle of a major The Young and the Restless story in which Cane somehow has inherited Katherine Chancellor’s billions, actor Daniel Goddard has announced he is no longer with the soap.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news that I will no longer be part of the cast of the Young and the Restless. I’m as shocked & gutted as u r. I’m forever grateful for my 13yrs in the Y&R family but sadly it seems that without Neil & Lily… there just is no Cane,” Goddard tweeted.
Earlier this year, Cane’s on-screen wife, Lily, divorced him when Christell Khalil decided to drop to recurring status. Since then Cane has been waffling without real story except for a brief flirtation with Traci during the summer.
His current story has fans wondering what the heck is going on since Cane wasn’t even blood related to Katherine. Cane now looks like Public Enemy #1 with Devon, but Jill seems to be on her stepson’s side.
When Goddard will last air is not yet known, but this looks like the ‘Katherine’s Will’ story could be his exit story. Will he leave town to be with Lily, finally giving Lane fans their happily ever after. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
