The “Young and the Restless” newcomer Miles Gaston Villanueva has made Luca a character that you love, hate, or love to hate. His bad-boy attitude, smarmy ways, and seductive looks give depth to Luca that has some fans even falling in love.

5. Primetime Moments
In the last two years, Villaneuva has appeared in several primetime shows. He has credits for his roles in “NCIS: Los Angeles”, “Melissa and Joey”, “Bones”, and had a three-episode run in “Chasing Life,”
4. His First Time on Y&R
Before originating the role of Luca, Villaneuva was on the Y&R scene in 2013 as Father Martin. Fans will remember him as the pastor who helped Nikki find information about her long-lost son.
3. His Time on Days of Our Lives
In 2014, Villaneuva took on a six-episode run on “Days of Our Lives” int eh role of Russ. The part may have been short-lived, but the impact on his life was huge. He was back on the daytime map.
2. This Newest Project
Last year, it was announced that Villanueva got a lead role in the comedy/drama “Saturn Returns.” The project has now moved into the post-production phase, and fans can soon look forward to seeing him acting alongside Erin Chambers, Nicholle Tom, and Allison Haislip.
1. Becoming Luca
Villanueva admits that he was shocked when he was asked to come back to the set of Y&R and try for the role of Genoa City’s newest bad boy, but getting the part of Luca was the best news he could have received. Even though he’s only been on Y&R since December of 2015, he’s fit in well with the usual cast of characters.
