When Burgess Jenkins took over the key role of Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless he had some pretty big shoes to fill, but made the part his own.
Before he leaves Genoa City for good, Soap Hub wants to honor Jenkins by sharing these five fun facts about the talented actor.
The Early Years
This North Carolina native was born on October 24, 1973. He attended Lenior-Rhyne University and studied acting at Playhouse West under Robert Carnegie’s guidance.
Memorable Movies
Jenkins has starred in over 15 films, including the smash hit Remember the Titans. His role as Ray Budds put him on the big screen in a huge way.
Television Star

Took the Role of Billy Abbott
Joining Y&R scene as a soap opera rookie offers any actor a challenge. Jenkins had enormous shoes to fill and a new style to learn, but he did both with success.
