[dropcap]A[/dropcap]t a young age, Hunter King has taken the acting world by storm. From her humble beginnings in local theater to her role as Summer on The Young and the Restless, King is now a force in the soap world. Here are 10 things you may not know about the award-winning actress.

10. She’s Only 22
Born on October 19, 1993, the actress’ full name is Hunter Haley King. She has two sisters, Kelli and Joey.

9. She Was a Game Show Girl
King has also appeared on CBS daytime in a game show capacity when she was on The Price is Right for several episodes in 2013 and 2014.

8. Her First Job
Credited back then as Haley King, she landed the role as Amanda in the 2001 movie AI: Artificial Intelligence. She starred in the smash hit alongside Haley Joel Osment and Jude Law.

7. She was a Mouseketeer
In 2004, King landed a role as one of the Mouseketeers in the TV movie The Nick & Jessica Variety Hour. Being in a Disney movie must feel like a dream come true for any kid.


6. She Acted with Miley Cyrus
King appeared on an episode in Hannah Montana in 2009. Taking on the guest star role of Bridget in the episode Judge Me Tender, she got to meet Miley and Billy Ray, even if it was only for a few hours.

5. She’s a Mean Girl
Playing the role of Avery in the movie A Girl Like Her, King flexed her mean muscles. Being a bully in the film, King showed a side of herself that her fans aren’t used to.

4. Y&R Isn’t Her First Soap
Hunter’s first soap role was on Hollywood Heights, a drama that aired on Nick at Nite and Teen Nick in 2012.


3. Her TV Brother Used to Be Her TV Boyfriend
Robert Adamson (Y&R’s Noah) who plays her brother on the CBS soap used to play her lover and baby daddy on Hollywood Heights.

2. She Didn’t Audition for Y&R
Already familiar with her work on Hollywood Heights, Producer Jill Farren Phelps hired King without an audition for the role of Summer. Phelps was also the producer of HH.

1. Back-to-Back Emmy Winner
After losing out on the award in 2013, King bounced back to win the Outstanding Younger Actress Emmy in both 2014 and 2015.
