On The Young and the Restless, Victoria has admitted to still having feelings for Billy, Billy turned down a chance to join professional forces with Newman Enterprises due to Lily’s concerns, and Victor won the company both also wanted to acquire.
The Young and the Restless Polling
So these exes have quite a bit on their plates. Is now the ideal time to Soap Opera Rapid Age Syndrome (SORAS – it can be used as a verb even though the acronym is a noun, FYI) Johnny and Katie? What almost 2,000 viewers want to see:
Grow Up!
A little over half of you, 52%, are all on board. Johnny and Katie look to be about 10 and 8 years old right now. How about giving them a little nudge up to say, 17 and 15? Katie can act up the way her mother did at her age. Remember the early marriage? The posing nude? The stuff like that.
And Johnny can be just as much of a screwup – and a romantic – as his dad, but wouldn’t this be the perfect time to learn that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and not Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is his biological mother? And how that all came to be?
Just a Touch
Don’t make them too old, 34% of the audience pleads. Maybe… 13 and 15? That way, they can actually form complete sentences and not have to be off-screen most of the time. They can be angry at Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria. But they shouldn’t be looking to make them grandparents quite yet.
Cutie Pies
As they say in Yiddish, “Small children, small problems. Big children, big problems.” And 14% are not ready for Johnny and Katie to have big problems yet. They’re cute. They lisp. They fall down playing hockey and break their arms. Neither Billy or Victoria or the audience have the mental bandwidth to deal with anything more. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
