There’s more good news coming for veteran fans of The Young and the Restless. On the heels of Doug Davidson’s return to the soap as Paul Williams, now comes word that another fan favorite is returning to Genoa City.
Beth Maitland (Traci) tweeted that she’s on her way back to YR to tape some scenes. Unlike Davidson, who spent most of last year off the canvas, Maitland worked semi-regularly on the show.
Her highlights include a passionate speech at a Walnut Grove Academy celebration, supporting Jack (Peter Bergman) through a paternity crisis, and, as always, Traci served as the family peacekeeper during all the assorted Abbott angst — especially when Ashley’s secret was revealed!
The actress earned a pre-nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category for this year’s Daytime Emmys. She’ll find out, as will everyone else, if she advances to the next round when the final noms are announced on Wednesday, March 20! Maitland became YR’s first Daytime Emmy acting winner in 1985 when she took home the gold.
There’s no word yet on when Traci will be seen again on screen, but as Davidson recently taped a show set to air on Monday, March 25, viewers might see Traci again in either late March or early April.
As more info about Maitland’s next visit to the top-rated soap becomes available Soap Hub will share the scoop!
