On The Young and the Restless, Victor retired with much fanfare. Victor (Eric Braeden) does everything with much fanfare. He handed the company over to Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Then Adam (Mark Grossman) almost blackmailed him into giving it to him. Then Victoria blackmailed Victor into giving it back to her.
The Young and the Restless Polling
Victor promised Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that he would step away from the business, relax, and focus on her. That may be what Nikki wants. But is it what the fans want? What over 3,000 viewers had to say about whether or not it’s time for Victor to return to his throne:
Down, Girl
Victoria was rude to Victor, 56% of you point out. That’s more than enough reason for Victor to stride back and put the little upstart in her place. She thinks she can take on her dad and not suffer any consequences? Let’s show her some consequences! Victor is back. Move over!
Stay Put Victoria
A much smaller 29% of The Young and the Restless fans want Victor to continue playing bingo and collecting Social Security. Or whatever it is he does when he’s not in the office. His time is passed and the torch needs to be passed. Plus, Victoria blackmailed him fair and square. And if you can’t hold onto your position through threats, then what kind of a Newman are you?

A last-place 15% of the fans think Victor and Victoria should take a hint from Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) and do the co-CEO thing. That way, Victor can ignore business to worry about Adam (Mark Grossman), and Victoria can ignore work to stress about Billy (Jason Thompson), and the kids… and Adam.
And business will still somehow get done by the little elves who obviously run the show behind the scenes. Newman can afford the two salaries. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
