Just as viewers do, the characters on The Young and the Restless take a little time out of their hectic lives to celebrate the holidays. But will the on-air festivities be enjoyable on any level given the strife the characters have gone through?
Soap Hub asked Y&R fans if they’re looking forward to the holidays in Genoa City this year. Read on for the results!
Will Turkey Day Be A Turkey?
Fortunately, Scott (Daniel Hall) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) are safe from the now-deceased Zack. Cane and Lily’s divorce is on hold and their children survived the fire at the Underground.
So there’s much for which to be grateful! Understandably, nearly 80% of you are looking forward to the holidays in Genoa City. And why not? The Abbott mansion is usually decorated nicely for the holidays. The tables are set beautifully with sumptuous meals. Most importantly, characters at odds usually put their differences aside!
Coal In Your Stocking
A little over 20% of you aren’t looking forward to the holidays in Genoa City.
Perhaps, you prefer to see the characters in conflict and in turmoil. And since the Abbotts, Newmans and other characters often put on a cheery face for the holidays, you don’t feel the characters are being true to how they feel throughout the rest of the year.
Baby New Year
Soon, the holidays will be over and the characters will embark on new conflicts, relationships and experiences. Some stories will be put in the past like Juliet (RIP) and the sex trafficking ring.
The Abbotts will likely continue to come together in support of Dina. And perhaps Victor and Nikki will make a go of it once more. Time will tell if Billy chooses Victoria or Phyllis and whether or not Adam returns from the dead.
