The Young and the Restless Polling
But don’t write it in ink. Use a pencil. Because that one can turn to off at the drop of a hat. YR fans have been wondering for decades whether Phick is endgame. Here’s what almost 2,000 voters had to say about that:
Temporary Insanity
Not in a million years, a confident 56% of you predict. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is the woman Nick (Joshua Morrow) always turns to when Sharon (Sharon Case) is busy elsewhere and the random woman he’s picked up most recently has inevitably not worked out. Phyllis isn’t endgame, she’s back-up.
She’s for when Nick wants to feel like a powerful manly man who takes no sass from the little woman. The one who is wild and adventurous, not domestic and domesticated. Phyllis feeds Nick’s ego and tells him he’s not old, he’s in the prime of his life. She does this until Sharon is available again. And then Nick doesn’t need her anymore.
Long Haul
Of course, Nick and Phyllis are endgame, 44% of the audience counters. Nick and Phyllis accept each other for who they are. They don’t try to change each other. All the traits that other people think are bugs, Nick and Phyllis see as features. They play video games! They have great sex! They talk about business and how far superior Nick is to both Victor (Eric Braeden) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle)!
It’s Phyllis and Nick against the world and for Summer (Hunter King). They’re even in agreement about Kyle (Michael Mealor).
This is a couple that will always find their back to each other because this is the pairing where each can be themselves. So what if they can be terrible people? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
