On The Young and the Restless, Lily and Billy went from arguing over who was in charge at work to kissing in an elevator.
Now it looks like they’re hovering on the precipice of… something. Something romantic. Something life-changing. But are they moving too fast? What over 4,000 viewers had to say:
They’re out of their minds, 75% of the audience asserts. Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) are practically both on the rebound. Billy from his latest failure with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Lily from a year in jail followed by a breakup from Cane (Daniel Goddard).
They need to work on themselves first, rather than leaping before looking into a relationship with a guy who loves to walk on the edge – and a woman who is pretty sure she never wants to fall off one again.
Lily needs safety and stability and a guy she can count on. Billy is… the exact opposite of that. She can’t even get him to listen to her at the office! What kind of chance does she think she has on a personal level?
Both Billy and Lily know how precarious life is. Lily made a single mistake, and it cost Hilary (Mishael Morgan) her life, and Lily her freedom. Billy made a bad decision and his daughter died. They know how quickly unhappiness will come and chase you down. So when they have a chance for happiness, they should leap on it.
It’s not rushing, it’s embracing an opportunity that might never come again. If being together is what makes Billy and Lily happy, then there is nothing else to consider, 25% of you urge. Go for it. And, if it goes wrong, well – it’s not like you’re both not pros at picking yourself up, dusting yourselves off, and starting all over again. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
