On The Young and the Restless, Abby and Chance have exchanged I Love You’s. They’re constantly having sex. And they’ve decided to have a baby together.
Oh, and after the baby decision, they decided to get married. Is this all too much, too soon? What over 2,000 vigilant fans think is going on:
So they’re talking about babies, 70% of you wonder, but they did this before they were even engaged or even living together? Don’t they have this a little backward? First comes love, then comes marriage, THEN comes Abby (Melissa Ordway) with a baby carriage.
We’re not saying they have to make it legal, but maybe they should consider at least combining their lives a little bit. Beyond the overnight dates? Maybe cohabitate?
If Abby and Chance (Donny Boaz) don’t think they’re ready to share a toothbrush or to make a lifelong commitment, how can they feel ready to have a baby. Don’t they know that’s the ultimate lifelong commitment?
Relationships never work out in Genoa City. The only ones that last are between parents and children. Even if Victor (Eric Braeden) and his kids periodically take turns disowning each other. So why not have a baby if you want something permanent?
If they want to keep having sex until they don’t, they can play that one by ear. But babies are a “no backsies” kind of proposition. So if Chance and Abby think they’re ready for that sort of thing, they should go for it.
Their baby would be an Abbott/Newman/Chancellor. That’s the Genoa City power trifecta! Chance and Abby may think they’re just talking about a baby, but they’re really about to hatch a tiny mogul. Might as well get to it. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
