The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, April 2, put Phyllis on the warpath, this time with Lily as her target, while Victoria continues singing another verse of “My Dad is the Best.”

Key Takeaways

  • Phyllis can’t forgive Lily.
  • Victoria can’t see her father for who he is.
  • Matt has Nick where he wants him.

Phyllis Targets Lily Instead of Facing Her Own Fallout

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) won. She now owns Newman Enterprises. But Phyllis isn’t as happy as she could be, because Summer wrote her a mean letter. (We’re still stunned that a Millennial like Summer knows what paper is. Or that she owns a pen. Can she write in anything but block letters? Wouldn’t a young woman her age send an email? A text? A voice memo?)

And Phyllis knows who is to blame for Summer turning on her mom— Lily (Christel Khalil)! If Lily hadn’t gone along with Victor’s (Eric Braeden) plan to blackmail Cane (Billy Flynn), then Phyllis wouldn’t have… what? We have no idea how Lily acting differently would have changed anything, since Phyllis still ended up stealing the company Cane stole from Victor. But Phyllis doesn’t live on Planet Earth with the rest of us.

Victoria Refuses to See Victor’s Actions

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is furious with Victor for having Jack (Peter Bergman) kidnapped. She walked out on him over it. Victoria (Amelia Heinle), on the other hand, is chill about it. Sure, it wasn’t nice. And Victor might not have been a complete hero. But, hey, all’s fair in love and war, right?

And Jack… Jack… Jack would have done the same thing in Victor’s shoes. Who cares that he hasn’t, up to this point? It’s just because he isn’t as smart as Victoria’s daddy. Yeah. That’s the ticket.

Matt Takes Control as Nick’s Judgment Slips

Nick (Joshua Morrow) thinks he’s pretty smart, too. Being stoned on pain pills isn’t affecting his judgment one iota. That’s not what Matt (Roger Howarth) thinks. Matt thinks he’s finally got the upper hand with Nick. For good, this time.
