Nighttime’s loss is going to be daytime’s gain. After a less than a successful pilot season, an MIA Genoa City player is heading back to The Young and the Restless (YR).
Abhi Sinha made his Y&R debut in late 2016 as a Ravi Shapur, a computer whiz at Jabot who developed a friendship and, later, a romance with Ashley (Eileen Davidson).
The couple shared long conversations, a night at the opera, a meaningful getaway at the Abbott cabin, and a solid working relationship.
Alas, the dynamic didn’t fully develop into a full romance and, recently, after telling Hilary (Mishael Morgan) he didn’t want to father her baby, Ravi faded into the background.
While Ravi was away, Sinha checked out pilot season, which is when episodes of potential TV shows are produced; in May, networks announce which of those programs will be joining their fall TV lineups.
Alas, he didn’t land any roles, but the good news is that he’s coming back to Y&R per Sinha’s Instagram post, which can be read in its entirety below! In it, he praises the top-rated soap for taking a chance on him and his character’s romance with Ashley.
Will Ravi and Ashley get a second shot — or will he be paired with another of Genoa City’s eligible ladies? Tune in to find out!
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.>
