Aiden Turner Coming to The Young and the Restless

Things could change quickly on “The Young and the Restless” if the rumors about “All My Children” alum Aiden Turner joining the cast are true.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Tuner was recently spotted roaming the Y&R halls. With all the comings and goings on the show, should fans be nervous about this potential new arrival?

A New Face or Recast?
Soap Hub reported last month that Celebrity Dirty Laundry claims Turner was on hand to read lines with Melissa Claire Egan. If this is true, will he become Chelsea’s new leading man–or worse, a recast for her much-loved hubby?

Justin Hartley (Adam) will be busy on the set of his new NBC series “This is Us,” and while he’s done double duty before, his schedule might become too demanding to keep up with his soap role?

Shroud in Secrecy
CBS has yet to confirm Hartley’s status with the show or why Turner has been on set. Lately, the show has kept details about the cast under lock and key, even hesitating to release spoilers and teasers.

Turner was a showstopping fan-favorite bad boy from his AMC days. If anyone could take over the role of Adam and do it justice, it would be Turner. He knows how to play a villain viewers love to love and love to hate. His time as Aidan Devane even garnered him a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2003.
