It’s Alive! Should JT Return To The Young and the Restless (YR)?

For a little while there on The Young and the Restless (YR), Nick thought JT had returned to Genoa City and was headed for Victoria’s house.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) who – along with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Sharon (Sharon Case) – thought she’d buried his body in Chancellor Park, was rightly concerned.

It turned out that it was only JT’s cell phone, not JT himself, who was on the move, much to Phyllis’ relief.

But it did float the question: Would you like JT (Thad Luckinbill) to come back to life? Here’s how over 4,000 viewers feel about it:

It Lives… Again!
Death is rarely a long-term state on the soaps, and JT should be no exception, 59% of you voice.

Y&R has gotten all the mileage it can out of JT being dead. How many more times can Sharon freak out, Victoria panic, Nikki look stoic, and Phyllis growl for them all to keep it together?

There’s a lot more story if JT returns. Not only would it be a huge shock to the women – which JT can use to his advantage, but, on the flip side, he can be made to pay for trying to kill Victor (Eric Braeden), and his abuse of Victoria.

JT deserves to be given due process and punished. It sends a more socially responsible message.

Stay Dead
JT has already been punished. Not by the legal system, but by the woman he wronged. That is much more satisfying, 41% of the audience counters.

If JT were to come back alive, he’d be able to use what the women did to him as a way to wriggle out of his responsibilities. He’d be the victim, instead of the lowlife he is. Dead, JT can’t hurt anyone. And he’ll help the Chancellor Garden grow. Best for everyone!
