Abro-Cadabro? Are Abby and Arturo Making Magic on The Young and the Restless (YR)?

The Young and the Restless (YR) is no stranger to odd couples. There’s Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). There’s Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James). There was – briefly – Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Ravi (Abhi Sinha), and even Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks).

Are Abby (Melissa Ordway and Arturo (Jason Canela) about to join them? She’s coming off a relationship with a guy who ended up taking her hostage, leaving her to die – and have sex – with a guy she otherwise only squabbled with.

He just got dumped from his employer/employee with benefits fling with Abby’s stepmother, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).

Do Abby and Arturo make a good couple? Over 6,000 fans voted!

It was super-close, but 51% of you squeaked out a win for – no. It’s all too icky. (Not as icky as when both Abby and Ashley dated Stitch, but close enough.)

Besides, Victor (Eric Braeden) has made it clear he intends to make Arturo’s life miserable. Because he can.

OK, OK, it’s because, blah, blah, blah, I’m only looking out for my family, blah, blah, blah. But, really, it’s because he can. And he wants to.

No matter how well Arturo treats Abby, Victor will be salivating at some slip he can use to get his revenge. And Abby just isn’t worth the trouble.

Damn the Torpedoes, Full Speed Ahead
They’re adorable together, 49% of the audience counter. OK, Arturo is doing the majority of the adorable lifting, but he’s super-fun to watch.

Now that Nikki dumped him, Abby is Arturo’s only reason to stay on the canvas, except as Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) handyman, and you’re willing to see where this relationship goes, if only to keep Arutro around.

Besides, Abby hasn’t had much luck with the corporate type. A down to Earth guy might be just what she needs!
