The Abbott Bunch: Does Dina Have More Children Out There on The Young and the Restless (YR)?

 Comments

When The Young and the Restless (YR) fans first met Dina in the 1980s, she was introduced as Jack, Ashley, and Traci’s neglectful mother.

Dina (Marla Adams) abandoned her husband, John, and their children to traipse about Europe, without so much as a birthday phone call or Christmas card.

Her return led to Ashley (Eileen Davidson) finding out that John wasn’t her biological father.

Some tennis bum named Brent Davis was. She’s agonized over this revelation for 30 years.

Dina… traipsed back to Europe.

But now Dina’s mind is going, so Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley, Traci (Beth Maitland), and Abby (Melissa Ordway) have resolved to care for her. A confused Dina blurted out that Jack isn’t John’s child, either.

Really, woman? Really? At this point, we have to wonder if there are other kids out there that Dina hasn’t told the Abbott siblings about, either. Here’s how the fans see it:

Oh, Why Not?
Dina is clearly willing to have children with anyone – except her husband, of course, 81% of you groan. And birth control was seemingly never on the agenda.

So, yes, it’s entirely possible that there are more bastards all over the place. Maybe one of the children is even John’s – wouldn’t that make a nice change?

Are these potential children also potential pretenders to the Abbott throne? First, they better chip in for the day to day care, too!

Tie Those Tubes!
Dina wasn’t too interested in the allegedly legitimate children she birthed. Why would she have any more illegitimate ones, 18% of the audience reasons.

This is not a maternal woman. This is not a nice woman. And, these days, this is not a discrete woman. If there were other siblings out there, wouldn’t Dina have blabbed by now? And, if not, wouldn’t Graham have found and eliminated them before coming to Genoa City?

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
