When it comes to The Young and the Restless, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of YR’s week that was.
Once upon a time, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) was a very bad man. He had a history of sexually harassing underlings, and when he was finally caught, he planned to rape and murder the woman responsible. Oh, and he might have killed a woman named Rebecca…jury’s still out on that one.
But after doing some hard time in the big house, and donating a kidney to yet another mortal enemy, and finding a woman who loved him despite his many, many flaws, Michael became a pillar of the community.
And if Michael Baldwin can become a better man – and even earn the seal of approval from many of his previous victims – then so can Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). But, much like Michael before him, Adam’s gotta cough up a kidney.
The good news is that the teenage girl that he’s donating the organ to is the daughter of the woman that Adam has long been in love with…or in lust with…and some may say obsessed with. But Sharon (Sharon Chase) is really, really grateful so that’s all that really matters.
And hey, as an added bonus, this will make the SECOND time that Adam has helped save Faith’s (Reylynn Caster) life, so now they’re definitely square in regards to the whole Adam handing over newborn Faith to Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and telling Sharon that her little girl had died thing.
* What is it with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and collapsed ceilings? Is something akin to the moth and the flame?
* Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is not a man to be underestimated. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is wise to fear him, and she’s wise enough to know that he’s serious when he says that he’ll snatch Connor right out of her arms.
Amanda (temporary recast Karla Mosley) would do well to proceed with caution where the mustachioed titan is concerned because though it’s safe to say that he didn’t have her father killed, he wouldn’t hesitate to put an end to her budding criminal law career.
* What was up with those Billy (Jason Thompson)/Lily (Christel Khalil) scenes that seemed to be filmed through gauze? Are the Powers That Be that hard-pressed to convince us that these two are endgame?
* Boy, Nate (Sean Dominic) sure had some nerve to suggest that Devon (Bryton James) shouldn’t have Amanda up in his penthouse apartment because he was hosting Moses (Jacob Aaron Gaines). The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
