7 Things to Know About Reylynn Caster On Young and the Restless
Nick and Sharon are getting a new teenage daughter on The Young and the Restless. Reylynn Caster has been cast as Faith Newman, replacing Alyvia Alyn Lind, who’s exiting the soap for a role in Syfy’s Chucky.
The teen actress, who grew up in Wichita, KS, has a pretty impressive past. Her credits include roles on the Netflix series The Big Show Show, ABC’s American Housewife, and the CBS sitcom Me, Myself and I. Want more information about Caster, the newest Faith Newman? Here are seven things to know about her.
1. Caster made her first on-screen appearance in a national television commercial at the age of 7. She got to work with Leif Jonker, the director of the cult horror film, Darkness.
2. When it comes to social media, Caster admits she spends way too much time on Tik Tok. Although she doesn’t make a lot of videos of her own, she says she’s “constantly scrolling” the platform.
3. Her first Hollywood feature film, Adventures of Dally and Spanky, was released in September 2019. Caster held down a starring role as Ella in the project.
4. In 2019, Caster set three career goals: getting a screen test for a multi-camera project, booking a multi-camera project, and landing a deal with Netflix. She achieved all three when she nabbed the role of Lola on The Big Show Show. “It was super surreal,” she says.
5. Another super surreal experience was having The Big Show Show billboard turn up at Times Square. “I completely lost it,” she admits, noting that appearing on a billboard was one of her childhood dreams. “It was the greatest experience ever.”
6. Acting isn’t her only talent. Caster also plays the piano and the guitar and writes her own music. She calls the latter “my form of therapy. Any time I feel a strong emotion I pick up the guitar and start writing.”
7. As for the music artists she’s the biggest fan of, Caster sites Frank Ocean, Tyler The Creator, and her all-time favorite, Lana Del Rey. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
