Winsor Harmon is best known for playing Thorne Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful off and on for 20 years, but he also played Del Henry on the now-defunct soap, All My Children.

Along with his soap work, he’s also been on shows like Baywatch Nights and Acapulco H.E.A.T. From where he was born and raised to his personal life, here are five fast facts about the former BB actor.

Who Is Winsor Harmon?

Harmon was born on November 22 in Crowley, Louisiana. He was born on the exact day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. His family moved to Rockwall, Texas, which is where he spent the majority of his childhood.

Athletic Dreams
He started playing football while growing up and ended up attending Texas A&M University on a football scholarship. Though he loved football, he ended up quitting and left Texas while in college in order to move to New York City to follow his acting dreams.

Before Acting
Though he initially moved to New York City to pursue acting, Winsor Harmon started modeling to pay the bills. He worked on runways around the world and was also featured in fashion magazines. He was even featured in a Marlboro Man ad.

Helping Those Affected

Following Hurricane Katrina in 2008, Harmon made a point to work with the Red Cross to help those who lost their homes down in Louisiana. In fact, Harmon’s childhood home was destroyed. He still supports Katrina victims to this day.

Harmon was previously married to Candice Harmon from 1996 to 1998 and he is currently married to Deanna Lindstrom. They have one son together named Winsor and Harmon is a step-father to her daughter, August. Harmon also has a daughter named Jade from a previous relationship.
