In March, The Bold and the Beautiful will celebrate its 34th season on the air! No longer the new kid on the block, BB has featured numerous characters over the years. Viewers connect to some characters in particular for a variety of reasons.
Which BB leading lady is your favorite? Soap Hub posed this question to BB fans. Read on for the results!
Susan Flannery (Stephanie) exited BB back in 2012, but her 25-year run on the show during which time she was BB’s leading lady, earned Stephanie an impressive 38% of your votes! Stephanie debuted in the show’s second episode. It wasn’t long before viewers learned that Stephanie would do whatever it took to preserve her family and keep Ridge from marrying Brooke Logan!
Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke came in second with 22% of your vote. For nearly three and a half decades, Lang’s Brooke has been passionate about Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), loved her sisters, and has caught the eye of many men on the show including Bill (Don Diamont), Eric (John McCook), and Deacon (Sean Kanan).
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, as Steffy, is continuing BB’s grand tradition of strong, women who are passionate in the bedroom and in the boardroom. Steffy, who may get knocked down now and then, always gets up fighting. She’s a champion and she earned 20% of your vote.
Annika Noelle’s Hope came in fourth place with 12% of your vote. Noelle delivered daily tour de forces two years ago as Hope grappled with the loss of her daughter Beth (who, in the end, wasn’t truly lost). Today, Hope is still all angsty in light of her husband Liam’s (Scott Clifton) recent betrayal.
She died twice and BB veterans are hoping she has a third run on the half-hour soap opera. We’re talking about Bobbie Eakes’ Macy, who earned 5% of your vote. Macy battled alcoholism, survived a car explosion, and survived murderous beau Anthony Armando (Michael Sabatino). Supposedly killed by a falling chandelier, Macy died off-camera. Perhaps someday, she’ll surprise everyone again by showing up alive.
Dr. Taylor Hayes, played by Hunter Tylo, scored nearly 3% of your vote. She came into the lives of the Forresters when the clan was mourning the loss of the late Caroline (Joanna Johnson) and the family needed mending. (Who better than a “Taylor” to help stitch a family back together?)
Alas, she lost more often than won against Brooke when it came to Ridge. Given the challenges her son Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and daughter Steffy have faced over the last year, Taylor’s due for a visit. Stat! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
