They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps but can you guess who this little darling grew up to be?
Star of The Soaps
Obviously this young lady (now all grown up) is currently starring on one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably no much of a hint.
So try these on for size. She is a Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress who has appeared in a feature film (in which she was stalked by death itself) and two Lifetime original movies. She is also a singer with two singles in her discography.
But just who can she be? Is this a photograph of Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester, BB), Arianne Zucker (Nicole Walker, DAYS), Cynthia Watros (Nina Reeves, GH), or Hunter King (Summer Newman, YR)?
Arianne Zucker
Zucker has so far appeared in FIVE Lifetime movies (including His Perfect Obsession, Mommy Be Mine, and Killer Assistant). And though she has been nominated five times for a Daytime Emmy Award (perhaps this is her year!), she has yet to bring a statuette home. So she isn’t today’s mystery child.
Cynthia Watros
Sure, Watros did indeed win a Daytime Emmy for her outstanding work on Guiding Light (where she played pill addict Annie Dutton). And she did appear in a film for the Lifetime network – the 2017 effort Deadly Exchange. But she wasn’t stalked by death in a feature film. So, like Zucker, she isn’t today’s featured star.
Hunter King
Though King’s film A Girl Like Her (which concerns itself with the plight of a bullied high school student) would be right at home on the Lifetime Network, it wasn’t originally made for transmission on that channel.
And despite her receiving two Daytime Emmy Awards (in the Outstanding Younger Actor category), King also hasn’t tangled with the Grim Reaper on the silver screen. So she isn’t the answer to today’s identity query.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood
She has won one of the four Daytime Emmy Awards that she has been eligible to receive (2019 for Outstanding Lead Actress). During one of her sabbaticals from BB, she had a starring role in the horror film Final Destination 5, which saw her trying to outrun the inevitability of death.
Wood has also starred in two movies made specifically for Lifetime – Nightmare at the End of the Hall and Her Husband’s Betrayal. The latter was a suspense thriller starring Shawn Roberts, best known for his roles in both the Living Dead and Resident Evil franchises.
So, if you guessed that perhaps the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Jacqueline MacInnes Wood – who has played Steffy on BB (on-and-off) since June 4, 2008 – then you were absolutely correct!
