Which Soap Star Was Voted Britain’s Most Beautiful Teenager At Age 15?

Winning a title can be the highlight of a recipient’s life – and that can even include recipients already embroiled in the hustle and bustle of film and television production. That was the case for one future soap star.

Who Is The Soap Star In Question?

All of these actresses either currently play a character on, or are an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. But only one of them can boast that she was named Britain’s Most Beautiful Teenager at a mere 15 years of age.

But who can that actress be? Is it Lesley-Anne Down (ex-Jacqueline Payne Marone, BB), Camilla More (ex-Gillian/Grace Forrester, DAYS), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane, GH), or Judith Chapman (ex-Gloria Baldwin, YR)?

Camilla More

Camilla More and her identical twin sister Carey made quite the splash in American film and television once they immigrated from their native London. Both were memorably dispatched by the dispassionate Jason Voorhees in the slasher film Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. And both had (brief) starring roles on NBC’s Days of our Lives.

For a one year period, More also played GH’s Anna Devane and it was her incarnation of the character that met a supposed fiery end – thankfully very few characters ever really stay dead on a soap. But neither More nor her sister ever received the moniker Britain’s Most Beautiful Teenager.

Finola Hughes

Hughes was born and raised in London, England, and as a young woman, she attended the city’s Arts Education Schools. And though it’s true that she won critical acclaim for her performance as Victoria the White Cat in the London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Cats, Hughes was never dubbed Britain’s Most Beautiful Teenager.

Judith Chapman

Though born in Greenville, South Carolina, Chapman began her acting in Spain where she starred in a number of spaghetti Westerns and commercials. That experience plus a childhood spent traveling the world with her Air Force General father imbued the actress with a love of expedition. But despite spending some time in England and modeling at a young age, Chapman was not singled out as one of its most beautiful teenagers.

Lesley-Anne Down

By the time she was 15, Down had already appeared in a number of feature films – including The Smashing Bird I Used to Know and School for Unclaimed Girls – and she had also earned herself the title of Britain’s Most Beautiful Teenager.

So, if you guessed that the soap star in question was Lesley-Anne Down – who last appeared as Jackie on BB back in February of 2012 – then you were absolutely correct!
