Almost every soap star has a “sideline.” They could be store owners, restaurateurs, writers, directors, or even participants in the world of music, be it songwriter, instrument player, vocalist, etc.
Who Is The Soap Star In Question?
All of these actresses currently appear on or are an alum of one of the four remaining soaps – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. But only one of them can boast that she is both a singer AND an occasional disc jockey.
But who can that actress be? Is it Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester, BB), Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan, DAYS), Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks, GH), or Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter, YR)?
Jen Lilley
She’s recorded and released a Christmas album – Tinsel Time, which features a duet with her former DAYS co-star Eric Martsolf. And she has an eponymous collection on the way. Lilley has also organized, and performed in, concerts for charities. But she isn’t the answer to today’s query.
Eden McCoy
As evident by her performance during the soap’s annual Nurses Ball, McCoy is a talented up-and-coming vocalist – and she’s also an excellent songwriter. It’s Never Goodbye was penned by the actress herself. However, she doesn’t spend her off hours working as an emcee.
Cait Fairbanks
There’s no denying the fact that Fairbanks – or Ginesse as she is sometimes known – is a talented musician and singer. She frequently displays her skills onscreen as budding songstress (and guitar enthusiast) Tessa Porter and the exposure has helped boost her profile.
But despite her frequent forays into musical theater productions (like an Off-Broadway offering of Heathers: The Musical) and her plethora of released singles, Fairbanks isn’t known for taking to the turntables.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood
She’s best known for acting, but MacInnes is also a singer – her debut single, After Hours (which was authored by her wardrobe stylist, Chaz E. Foley), was released in January 2012 – and DJ operating under the name Jacqui Mac.
So, if you hazarded a guess that perhaps the soap star in question was Jacqueline MacInnes Wood – who has played Steffy Forrester (on and off) since June 4, 2008 – then you were absolutely correct!
