VIDEO FLASHBACK: Taylor Returns From The Dead!

Soaps are criticized for bringing characters back from the dead. Even so, it was a departure for the more reality-based The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) to resurrect characters, but that’s just what the soap did in 2005 when Hunter Tylo rejoined the cast as a resurrected Taylor.

The show was faced with the dilemma as to how Taylor’s open-casket appearance from a few years ago could be explained.

B&B looked to the past to tell the story of Taylor’s future. Who else but Prince Omar (Kabir Bed) of Morocco had a motivation to whisk a still-alive Taylor out of the hospital in 2002 and replace her body with a life-like dummy? He’d already fallen in love with her once before when she was presumed dead in a 1994 plane crash.

Taylor escaped Omar’s clutches with the help of Dante Damiano (Antonio Sabato, Jr.). Ridge (Ronn Moss) spotted a glimpse of his late wife and dug up her grave to see if she were really in there.

He found the dummy (which hadn’t decomposed as a true corpse would have). Ridge received proof that Taylor was alive when she stepped out of the moonlight and into his life once more!
