The Bold and the Beautiful
Earthquakes aren’t uncommon in California, but The Bold and the Beautiful was on for seven years before the Forrester gang experienced some rocking and rolling! The aftermath led to James and Taylor making love and Stephanie and Brooke, as always, making war.
James (Ian Bucnahan) and Taylor (Hunter Tylo), married to Ridge (then Ronn Moss) were at the Forrester cabin in Big Bear when the quake struck. They were near the epi-center.
With the cabin destroyed and a storm howling around them, James, a virgin, and Taylor had to huddle together to survive. (He didn’t want to die without having sex so, later, Taylor and James made love.)
Meanwhile, back in Los Angeles, Stephanie (Susan Flannery) was frantically hoping Ridge (then Ronn Moss) would locate Taylor. She intercepted a phone call from Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), who was in Paris at the time. Brooke was trying to maneuver Ridge into coming overseas on the premise of business.
Stephanie, who felt she always had Brooke’s number, tried to deflect her nemesis from interfering in her son’s marriage.
Ridge was unable to figure out where Taylor was since there was no record of her going to the cabin.
Natural disasters haven’t been played often on B&B. But you can bet if there’s ever another one the greater damage will be to the interpersonal relationships among the characters and not to any property!
